Fine dining on the grounds of Mount Vernon, it has a Colonial atmosphere reminiscent of Washington's Time Period and the Staff wear period Costumes. The staff is incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable about both the menu and the history of the Inn. A great place for lunch, especially in the winter with the wood fires burning in the dining rooms. Mount Vernon is a marvelous place and a great learning and dining experience.
El Paso is well known for their quality Mexican cuisine with a few surprises beyond the standard fare. For those who don't like to venture from Mexican restaurant chains staples, you'll enjoy the fajitas, burritos, and others such dishes. No surprises here, but the ingredients are fresh and the portions well sized. For those who might wish to go a little beyond, look at the seafood and traditional entrees for a few dishes outside the norm.
The restaurant does not look all that impressive from the outside, but the inside looks nice and the food is awesome. I went with some friends who are from Thailand and said afterwards that the food was extremely authentic including street vendor food that is not often seen outside of Thailand. The portions are overly generous and all the staff is very friendly. Their Pad Thai is wonderfully made with a mix of flavors that are perfectly balanced.
This restaurant is unassuming from the exterior but once you go inside you will immediately feel like you're in an upscale, yet still casual, dining establishment. The service was friendly, and food was marvelous. As great as all the main courses are, such as the chicken pikata schnitezel or Jaegerschnitzel, wonderful and authentic but the real star of the show is the fresh bread that you are greeting with upon taking your seat. All around great restaurant.
